The Big News

Apologies for the shock announcement.

Please don't worry I am not closing for good. I will be slowly closing parts of the business so that I can get ready to move house! Yes, I, the almost 39 year old will finally be flying the nest. In typical sparkly fashion I am not just moving, I am moving halfway across the country to Cheshire. (If any of you are Cheshire based please get in touch!)

I am so very excited for this new chapter, but I have to pack up the studio to move and trust me it isn't going to be a quick job. So I have decided to put the shop on pause whilst I do that, so that nothing gets neglected.

I am also planning to document this whole journey, which I think will be interesting, plus setting up my new studio, along with getting play house for the first time ever!(Don't worry this isn't going to become a Trad Wife account, but I will be sharing more of my cooking and being at home)

Another thing to note is that not all the ornaments will be coming back, I will be keeping a core collection of ornaments and then a small new collection for Christmas 2025.

All archived ornaments will be available on a special request via a catalogue.

SO important dates for you:

June 16th - The Ornament Shop closes, All Bespoke sequin requests are paused.

July 14th - The Whole Shop will close.

11th August -Expected re-opening date but with a much more streamlined amount of Ornaments and products.

I really hope that you will love all the new and exciting plans I have for The Queen of Sequins. I am so excited and I can't wait to share this whole new part of my life, along with Lotti the Sausage and Melton and Mowbray the tortoises.

If you have any questions, words of wisdom or tips on packing (definitely not looking forward to packing OR unpacking) please pop them in the comments!

Oh my goodness, how exciting!
Pack an overnight bag with your essentials (toiletries, pants, loo roll! Trust me, you don’t want to be unpacking your boxes to try and find that…)
It feels like effort, but it’s worth labelling boxes properly. No “kitchen stuff”, be more specific such as “plates, bowls, cutlery” future you will be very grateful 😅
Cling film! Pencil pots, trinket dishes, cling film them in place and everything will be in the container where you want it at the other end 🙌
Look up details of a decent takeaway in advance and don’t be tempted to wait too late to order. No one wants to unpack hangry waiting for dinner!
